Note on date founded
[edit]It seems that this article has long said that Paul Kane was founded in 1949, however I have found multiple reliable sources that say it was 1971. If anyone can find a source supporting the 1949 date I would appreciate it. Until then I ask that it be left at 1971. DiscantX 22:53, 19 February 2019 (UTC)
- I have found more sources. It seems the current building was built circa 1971 but the original building opened in 1963. I haven't found any sources that mention 1949. DiscantX 00:12, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
I was attending Paul Kane High School in 1971, and there was no construction happening then, original building was opened in 1963. Prior to that, Sir Alexander Mackenzie School had Grade 1-12, with Grades 10-12 moving to the new high school. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.68.115.32 (talk) 02:56, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
