Sourcing of Cobbett Prize etc

[edit]

In the current puritanical climate with regard to sourcing I wish to note that I have used Brewis's own website as the principal source for this article. While his presentation of material, especially the use of illustrations, is jokey, I judge the content to be honest. As there is another Peter Brewis active in the field of music, the autobiographical material is invaluable in sorting out what work is whose.

I have managed to find evidence elsewhere for e.g. the Olivier Award short listing and one of the Fringe First Awards. On looking to confirm his claim to have won the Cobbett Prize, I searched Google Books and this result confirms that Brewis and the prize were mentioned on the same page of the magazine of the RCM. Unfortunately I have not been able to confirm what is on that page. Various other material is found by Google Books but is not previewable.

For the record, I have been virtually acquainted for several years with this Peter Brewis via a computer conferencing system.--Peter cohen (talk) 12:25, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
