Just a question. Is there some reason that Peter Dendle has a wikipedia page? He's a good Anglo-Saxonist, but he's still fairly new in the field, and there are many much more prominent scholars who don't have a wikipedia page (Andy Orchard, Roberta Frank, Katherine O'Brien O'Keeffe, John Niles, to name a few of the most important currently working). In fact, from searching around wikipedia, it seems like the only Anglo-Saxon scholars to have pages are the holders of the named chairs in Anglo-Saxon studies at Cambridge and Oxford. I think a little more representation would be good, but Dendle seems an odd place to start, and this seems more fitting for a department website than a general interest encyclopedia, unless all university professors are going to be getting wikipedia pages. 174.126.203.204 (talk) 07:46, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
