Untitled[edit]

Peter is a genius, one thing that people, namely the public, never realize is that when a young person begins playing an instrument, and then soon after begins writing songs, a predicament occurs by which, the person having realized that they have a substantial talent, is presented with a very emotional challenge, to overcome the fear of that talent, and it is in my experience as a musician/composer/producer of thirty years, usually the case that the bigger the talent, the bigger the fear, this happens to just about all musicians, even orchestral musicians, so the next time you see a gig and the guys on stage can really play, and have seriously well crafted songs, then you should appreciate that they have much more likely than not, gone through a real struggle, and the proverbial "suffering" for the talent they have, in order to bring it to you. Some believe that this is why many great great musicians resort to taking drugs, often playing under the influence of a drug for the first time is also the first time that the musician is able to perform without fear, what is vital information at this point is that the musician does not have to take the drug for the rest of his/her career, because once the fear is gone it stays gone! The human mind when given that experience of fearless performance in the early stages of a musician's development, now has a memorable, (literally) state of mind to lean towards, it retains this state of mind much like a software synthesizer or plug-in retains a setting that has been saved, and the genius can continue with what is important, the song writing. The Only Ones were one of the best bands of all time, Peter Perret is a Dylan, not as many albums but then Dylan's albums are not all great, The Only Ones albums were electrifying!

Page Needs Image[edit]

Considering how important he is, and all the innovations made by him and The Only Ones, I think the wikipedia page should be a bit more extensive, and definitely should include a photograph of him if this is possible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JimmyJazz100 (talkcontribs) 11:39, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
