Why Peuyeum?

Usually peuyeum refer to fermented cassava, with Bandung/Sundanese style which is dryer and contain less alcohol than Javanese style. In Indonesian fermented food is called tape. And fermented black sticky rice had their own name Tape Uli, Tape Pulut, or Tape Ketan in Indonesian. Is this Sundanese name more popular in English speaking community?Aditthegrat 05:28, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge with Tapai

It seems to me that peuyeum is one of the variants of tapai. This article has some information that the tapai article should also have, and vice versa. However, tapai is a collection of related fermented foods, peuyeum being but one of them. I suggest merging into the tapai article. Webaware 14:42, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
