Deletion?[edit]

I don't think this should be deleted because it is a very important event,that people should be able to know about.You have pages about stupid things,yet you were going to delete the page I made.I made this page because people that live in Philadelphia more than likely don't know what Reading Olympics is,and I wanted to share my info,and my experience with the Philadelphia Reading Olympics—Preceding unsigned comment added by DevonJennings (talk • contribs)

Hi. After searching on Google, I've declined the speedy deletion for now as there appears to be some material which may just about establish this event as notable. However, this article needs a major (and I mean major) cleanup to meet Wikipedia's standards. If there is anyone who disagrees with this, it would be a good idea to take this to AfD to enable a better discussion on this subject. Bettia (bring on the trumpets!) 10:14, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
