Pivot Airlines updates[edit]

  • What I think should be changed (include citations):

Pivot Airlines (legally 2746904 Ontario Inc.) is a Canadian airline founded in 2020. Its focus is on group charters and scheduled airline service[8]. The airline's Canadian air operator certificate allows for the operation of CRJ-100/200 series aircraft under subpart 705 of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs). In October 2021 Pivot announced the launch of regional airline service from Kitchener/Waterloo to Ottawa and Montreal to commence in 1Q2022[9] pending confirmation from regional partners and clients that they plan to resume corporate air travel to correspond with the launch. Pivot also announced the addition of three transborder services although destinations and timing were not specified[10][11].

Pivot Airline's main base at Toronto Pearson's Airport is located in a 20,000 sq, ft hanger and large office facility located at the airport's North End and was the longtime home of Air Georgian[12]. Although Pivot Airlines can trace its roots back to Air Georgian through an asset purchase[13] whereby Pivot purchased almost all of the assets of the former airline the airline is otherwise unrelated and established new operating licenses, agreements, and contracts. Pivot is a party to the previous union agreements including ALPA[14], CUPE, and UNIFOR. Pivot has credited the support of the unions in making the asset purchase possible and the very successful PIVOT[15] the airline accomplished in providing essential service air charters throughout the height of COVID-19 including regular flights to South America and for clients that include DND, RCMP, OPP, MNRF, Coastal Patrol operations, ISC and in support of a number of Gold Mines and other resource sector clients.

Pivot Airlines CEO Eric Edmondson served on the COVID-19 Supply Council[16] - Canada as appointed by the Honorable Anita Anand, Minister Anand has since been assigned as Minister of National Defence (Canada). Mr. Edmondson also served as Chair of the Air Transport Association of Canada[17] throughout the height of the pandemic and played a critical role as one of the key spokespersons for the Canadian commercial aviation industry throughout the first four waves of COVID-19.

  • @FlyerfromTO: Hi. I'm going through some of Quetstar's reviews. I would be happy to have another look at these. Also, curious as to why the username is a redirect? If you are using two accounts, I hope you're aware of WP:MULTIPLE. PK650 (talk) 22:51, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • @PK650: there was a rename, but there's also Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/FlyerfromTO with some of the recent edits. The master account was never unblocked due to promotional reasons. Star Mississippi 00:59, 1 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
      • @Star Mississippi: I appreciate the heads-up. I might let the request sit as is then. PK650 (talk) 06:52, 1 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
        • To close the loop, @PK650:, socking was confirmed. I'm going to leave the request here as the user wasn't socking when they posted it,but similarly uninclined to act on it given they're not editing in good faith. An uninvolved editor is welcome to make these changes if deemed needed. I haven't looked into merit). Star Mississippi 21:25, 2 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
