Some Changes

"Some have cited Polycrates' letter as proof that the Churches in Asia Minor did not accept the authority of the Roman Bishops, while others cite the excommunication by Victor as proof that the Roman Bishops believed that they had that authority. "
However that was when , another line was just above it,
Pope Victor excommunicated ....
The controversy was cleared when Eusebius was quoted that, Pope victor attempted to cut Asian churches from common unity
Hence the present line holds no good, that the letter of Polycrates proves that Rome had authority over asian churches..
Eusebius clearly mentions that Polycrates vigourously fought with Victor, claiming that he woudlnt believe no man , and only God.
Hence the letter or the actions of Polycrates are NO proof that Rome had authority, but strongly points to the fact that the asian churches cared less about Rome.
