17 March 2007[edit]

This article incorrectly implies the Vibe is a General Motors designed vehicle, with the Toyota Matrix being a copy. It even states that the Matrix is assembled in Cambridge because of NUMMI capacity issues. In fact, this is a Toyota designed vehicle based on their MC platform. NUMMI produces a higher volume of Corollas than either plant's Matrix or Vibe volumes. Any objections to some edits? (Moike 15:31, 17 March 2007 (UTC))

Second Generation[edit]

After more info, I think a second generation marking should be made on this page.

IS350 on Corolla platform?[edit]

Hey, someone is incorectly writing that Lexus IS350 is related to Corolla and all derivatives. Thats wrong and i will correct that.

Merge[edit]

It was suggested on November 19, 2007, that this and the Toyota Voltz article be merged. Since the originator of the suggestion never posted here and it's been over five months with no responses, I removed the merger template box.--Flash176 (talk) 15:18, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Manufacturer/AKA[edit]

PrinceGloria, please go read the Infobox conventions. The Vibe's manufacturer is Pontiac, not the NUMMI plant. Also, no one ever agreed that the Matrix/Vibe were related. Please read this discussion again. You are the only person who contended that the Matrix and Vibe were related and not AKA.--Flash176 (talk) 22:56, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Vibe GT-R[edit]

I've removed the section on the Vibe GT-R because it's neither notable, nor encyclopedic. All manufacturers dress cars up with "bolt-on" items for shows. The GT-R is nothing special.--Flash176 (talk) 17:40, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

I disagree. It is notable under the WP:Notability guideline, so it is encyclopedic. As for the claim of all manufacturers making show cars, that isn't even a relevant inclusion criterion. Therefore Vibe GT-R should stay. - Jacob Poon (talk) 23:00, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
WP:Notability refers to whether a topic merits its own page.
As I said, there is nothing special about the GT-R. It's simply a Vibe that GM threw some parts on. There is no good reason to include it in the article.--Flash176 (talk) 04:28, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
Just because you don't feel it is special does not mean it should be excluded. Wikipedia:IINFO does not cover concept vehicles.
