FabSugar.com[edit]

Didn't the company start as FabSugar.com, or did it just use that as a side site? I've seen citations to FabSugar.com URLs dating to the late 2000s. This domain name is not even mentioned in our article, but still works (today it just redirects to PopSugar.com).  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  04:06, 11 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Update PS Wikipedia Page[edit]

Update title of page to PS (instead of PopSugar)

About Us PS is a digital media brand operated by Vox Media. Across six core content categories — health, fitness, beauty, balance, identity, and shopping — PS makes wellness more accessible through real-life stories, first-person perspectives, and expert-backed advice. PS creates content, products, and experiences that help people live a more balanced and fulfilling life.

History PS launched as POPSUGAR in 2005, when Lisa Sugar created a blog covering pop culture and celebrity news. In 2006, Lisa and her husband, Brian Sugar, joined forces to turn her hobby into a media brand based in San Francisco. Brian became CEO and Lisa editor in chief, and [1].[4]

POPSUGAR was founded as a place where women could be unapologetic fans of pop culture, but the brand's reach quickly expanded into every corner of the women's lifestyle category. In 2007, the company acquired ShopStyle, a fashion shopping search engine,[5] which paved the way for PS's extensive commerce business. PS has long dominated the fitness space with PS Fit (formerly known as Class Fitsugar), the No. 1 source for at-home video workouts on YouTube.

Over the next 16 years, POPSUGAR expanded into the UK and Australia, and in 2019, American digital holding company Group Nine Media acquired POPSUGAR in an all-stock transaction.[10] In early 2022, POPSUGAR became part of Vox Media, a media company whose portfolio features nearly 20 popular and influential editorial properties, including Vox, Eater, SB Nation, The Dodo, The Verge, and the New York brands.

In June 2024, POPSUGAR rebranded as PS and narrowed its focus to center on six verticals: health, fitness, beauty, balance, identity, and shopping.

Operations PS operates a website (popsugar.com) and distributes its content across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and X, and via daily and weekly newsletters. PS is part of Vox Media, headquartered in Washington, DC, and New York. PS also has UK and Australian sites. PS sells several affordable product lines at Walmart, CVS, T.J.Maxx, and on Amazon. PS's product lines include fitness gear, bath and shower products, sleep accessories, and fitness apparel.

Accolades In 2022, POPSUGAR received When We All Vote's Culture of Democracy Award for outstanding media partner, and POPSUGAR's Girl Talk event earned an Anthem Award in the Education, Art & Culture category that same year. POPSUGAR won best revenue diversification strategy in the 2020 Digiday Media Awards, and POPSUGAR founder Lisa Sugar was named one of Ad Age's Women to Watch in 2017. A year earlier, the Adweek Readers' Choice Digital Hot List named POPSUGAR the hottest digital brand and the hottest digital publication.
