The result of the move request was: page moved. Vegaswikian (talk) 21:14, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
Geomun Island Incident → Port Hamilton Incident — I moved the article from "Komundo Incident" to "Port Hamilton Incident" but it was subsequently moved to the current title "Geomun Island Incident". I cited WP:COMMONNAME because the common historical name of the island when the incident happened was "Port Hamilton" (see Talk:Port Hamilton#Requested move) and it gets better results with online searches. E.g. According to Google Books "Port Hamilton Incident" returns 45 books and "Komundo Incident" returns 29 books. While the original Korean name of the island Komundo or Geomun Island, English Wikipedia prefers a common English name over local names. Lastly, whether we title the article with the historical name or the local name, the current title is inappropriate. Searching "Geomun Island Incident" with Google Books returns a single book written in Korean, no hit with Scholar, two his with Google Web Search. Kusunose 02:13, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Move without consensus
[edit]Historiographer (talk · contribs) moved withot consensus from "Port Hamilton Incident" to "Geomun Island Incident". However according to the Google search result, the most common name is "Port Hamilton Incident".
Google result:
- "Port Hamilton Incident" book: 26, Scholar: 2, web: 10
- "Komundo Incident" Book: 15, Scholar: 1, web: 13
- "Geomun Island Incident" book: 1, Scholar: 0, web: 5
- Huh, This moving without any discussion was conducted by Kusunose first. --Historiographer (talk) 15:02, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
I don't think the lack of discussion with the two page moves, mine and Historiographer's, problematic. After all, we are encouraged to be bold. And after the two moves, we now have discussion for reaching consensus so we are following Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle. --Kusunose 19:08, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
