I deleted the following unsourced text "Today, Garston is a major shipping and container port, and amongst the many Mersey docks is second only to Seaforth Dock" from the article. Garston is a fairly small port and no container ships call there. Also, it's not reasonable to compare the three docks of the Port of Garston combined with the single Seaforth Dock, rather than the Port of Liverpool as a whole. Indeed, it's unclear on what basis Garston would be "second". In terms of surface area, it's clearly smaller than the Great Float of Birkenhead and in terms of tonnage, it's hard to imagine it exceeding, say, Canada Dock, which regularly loads 70,000DWT freighters with scrap metal and often receives 100,000DWT tankers — that's about ten times the size of the largest ships that can dock in Garston .
