[edit]Postman Plod was, in fact, the antithesis of cheery childrens' character Postman Pat. Unlike Pat, Plod enshrined the embittered attitude of millions of exploited public sector workers forced to succumb to a more "customer focused" regime. Sample dialogue: Old Lady: "Good morning, Postie!" Plod: " How the f**k would you know? You've only been up half an hour!" You have only been up half an hour!86.142.157.205 13:32, 27 August 2007 (UTC) ₠ƒ₭ℳɻŋ

One special episode involved a classic re-working of W.H.Auden's poem the Night Train. I don't know if there's any copyright issues involved, but if someone could link it, or type out the re-worked poem, it would greatly add to this article.Wussager (talk) 13:35, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
