NPOV[edit]

I have tagged this article NPOV. Below is my reasoning.

The article currently describes little about prostitution in Uruguay. The only claims about legal prostitution (that it's for people over 18, and common in tourist areas and cities) are uncited.

Because prostitution is illegal in many other countries, bringing up human trafficking and child exploitation implies that trafficking in Uruguay is especially prevalent relative to similar countries, and that the difference is attributable to the legality of prostitution. However, those claims are not fleshed out, either in the article itself or in the cited sources.

The content of the article is in my view clearly intended to convince the reader that prostitution is bad, not to describe prostitution in Uruguay. It should be updated to reflect specifically how prostitution in Uruguay is different from prostitution elsewhere. Information about prostitution in general (including arguments for and against its acceptance) should be addressed in the prostitution article, to which this article should link.

Needs to be expanded[edit]

I have rewritten the article making with information about what prostitution is and should be according the Uruguayan Law, but it still lacks information about facts, what is the reality of the prostitution in Uruguay, statistics, and so on. I don't have sources with this data, but shouldn't be hard to find sources about this point of view of the issue. --Zerabat (talk) 14:40, 28 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
