Changes to Nature Conservation Act 1992 (Qld)

The Nature Conservation Act 1992 was amended in 2013 - amendments included the following changes to the 'tenure structure':

Combining national park, national park (scientific) and national park (recovery) tenures into one tenure class called national park
Combining conservation park and resources reserve tenures into one tenure class called regional park
Grandfathering the coordinated conservation area tenure from future use
Abolishing the wilderness area, World Heritage management area, and international agreement area tenures
Abolishing the forest reserve tenure.
