Some of the acute+underdot combos in the consonant table were broken; for a temporary fix, I've added {{Unicode}} tags, but most likely it would be possible to also do this by fine-tuning the choice of font or the diacritic stacking order. --Trɔpʏliʊmblah 09:56, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Time depth[edit]

Is there a theory on how far back Proto-Cicassian would date, i.e. when it split up into its modern descendant languages? Trigaranus (talk) 11:29, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Correspondences factcheck[edit]

I'm suspecting a couple errors:

  • Are *tʃ and *ʃ supposed to show the exact same reflexes?
  • Is *tɬ supposed to be actually *tɬʼ?
  • *tʃʼ → aj in Abadzex looks like some kind of a typo?

Which of the references is/are the source(s) for the reconstructed consonants? 2001:558:6035:39:9DAA:FB47:41CD:ED12 (talk) 05:22, 18 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to a discussion that is relevant to this page[edit]

I've reverted some recent edits to this page, and explained myself in here. The discussion concerns many articles, so I thought it would be a good idea to keep it central. I hereby invite everyone who is interested to join the discussion on Talk:Northwest Caucasian languages. Thank you.
