Removal of unencyclopedic material

I reverted the edits of Dr.Pittendreigh as encyclopedic [1]. Their additions featured spurious interpretations of sources and violations of WP:NOR. --Omnipaedista (talk) 14:01, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The text contained (1) weaseling / unverifiable claims / original research ("This Psalm is one of seven penitential psalms", "Several scholars...", "Traditionally, the Christian Church has..."), (2) claims based on a slanted and unscholarly source—James Luther Mays (1994), Psalms, Westminster John Knox Press (part of Presbyterian Publishing Corporation), pp. 145–7, (3) the text of the Psalm itself; Wikipedia is not Wikisource; source texts belong on Wikisource (WP:INDISCRIMINATE). --Omnipaedista (talk) 20:55, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
