The Food and shops section of the article has alot of advertising. A chicken store even has it's chicken prices and trading hours. You need to remember wikipedia is not for advertising. Eliethesame 06:11, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Bias

It seems that, since 30 Nov 2005, the information in this article has been non-neutral and biased to various degrees. Could someone with personal knowledge of the suburb write a more accurate article. Elynnia 02:53, 30 Dec 2005 (AEST)

Trent from Punchy

He is not a notable resident. The article states that he is a character created by an actor. If the 'phenomenon' continues, it may be included in the pop culture section but it does not qualify him for 'Notable Resident' status. J Bar (talk) 23:39, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

I realise this but at first I treated him seriously to see if there was any chance it was true. Now he is just being a serial pest who not only has a lot of time on his hands but access to a lot of different computers and IP addresses. Looks like he's a uni student. Good to see our uni students doing such constructive work with their time. He's made a video that puts down Punchbowl and is trying to get publicity for the video through wikipedia. Its not just one person, many people believe he should be added, not as a notable resident but in popular culture. Reaching one million views is enough to say its popular? Probably the most popular thing to come out of Punchbowl. This trent from punchy maybe notable after all. I heard his name being mentioned on the radio station Nova last night and there are quite a few things on the web. If people think he is notable and there are refs to prove this try writing an article about him and then consider adding him to this article again. Cheers Adam (talk) 22

I have reprotected the article again, as anons in several ranges keep on re-adding the redlink to Trent from Punchy. If he is notable, create the article first, and then link it from here. Trent from punchy should probably be removed from the pop culture section as well. Trent is just a block who makes home videos for utube and nothing else. I don't thing he is worth a mention at all unless his character starts to appear on television . Adam (talk) 06:07, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

I've just added him back with 3 reliable references. An article for Trent has recently been re-created with 10 reliable references, most of which are from 2010 or later. Whilst the character clearly wasn't notable whilst this debate was going on here, he has indeed established notability now. Freikorp (talk) 08:03, 20 November 2014 (UTC)

Accuracy

If John Stephens had a property in Punchbowl in the 1930's, how could his son have possibly been mentioned in the Wells Gazetteer in 1848? Also, the list of Punchbowl churches needs updating. St Barnabas Anglican Church, for example, is now St Demiana's Egyptian Coptic Church. Other churches also exist in the suburb which are not included in the list.
