Merge?[edit]

I don't see enough in this article to justify it's being separate from offshore company. Their opening sentences provide identical definitions. As it stands, I would envisage a merge, by adding this article's "Legal regimes" section holus bolus to that article, and adding an extra sentence to its intro:

Offshore companies" are also called quasi-foreign corporations, a term which encompasses firms incorporated in one state of a federation, such as Delaware corporations in the United States.

Also, this sentence is unclear:

Section 2115 of the California Corporations Code applies many aspects of California corporate law to foreign corporations operating in California under Californian ownership

Does "foreign" mean "from statesother than California" or "from countries other than the United States"?

I'm just an "educated layman"; so if I've misunderstood something, please explain, perhaps in the article rather than the Talk: page. jnestorius(talk) 02:13, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
