Comments

  • Lead is a little brief, could double it up.
  • "the South of France" Southern France.
  • "and unhuman behaviour" no need to link, and this has tone issues.
  • " Insurrection of 31 May–2 June." spaced en-dash.
  • "lead to country" led to
  • "important Naval Base in" why in caps?
  • "the Allies" who?
  • "name of King Louis XVII. The" overlinked.
  • "French drills and said disciplinary system" link drill and not sure what the "said" disciplinary system was.
  • "C. T. Atkinson describes" who is/was he?
  • "as "...the" per MOS, a non-breaking space after the ellipsis here.
  • "on 1 October" non-breaking space between day and month, on my screen the sentence breaks after the "1".
  • "anti-republican" capital R for consistency here?
  • "under Royal Navy Captain George Elphinstone." sea of blue (three consecutive links).
  • "The counterattack was" link this first time, and be consistent with hyphenation.
  • "de Boisgelin had" when starting a sentence, it's usual to go with De...
  • "Corsica and Disbandment" disbandment without the capital D.
  • "ships Pompée and Puissant, which" + "HMS Terrible" ship names are italicised.
  • "which lead to" led
  • "in London, Great Britain" no need to link London.
  • And we'd normally place it in England.
  • "Elliot, 4th Baronet tried" comma after Baronet.
  • "Hampshire about" comma after Hampshire.
  • "of a White coat" white
  • Ref 6 SHOUTING
  • Ref 7 needs spaced en-dash, not hyphen.

That's all I have. The Rambling Man (Keep wearing the mask...) 10:20, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
