Article title[edit]

Pardon me, but I have a question about the title of this article. Normal convention, as I have observed on Wikipedia, is when I see a title like Razi style (Iranian architecture), it implies that there is at a minimum at least one other article on Wikipedia whose title is either Razi style or Razi style (something else). The parenthetical, as I have always viewed it, is placed as a matter of necessity, that is, to clarify at which of multiple, similarly-titled articles, I have arrived. Such articles are often as well the subject of disambiguation pages.

But there are no other articles entitled Razi style, as far as I can tell. What then is the need for the parenthetical clarifier here? Might we not dispense with the parenthetical phrase altogether, or does it serve some purpose of which I am unawares? 98.82.23.93 (talk) 18:15, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Look at the article history--there isn't much of an explanation there, but it's possible that the term is ambiguous or was meant to be ambiguous, back in 2007. In all honesty, I don't see much notability here and will do some checking around, and possibly nominate the article for deletion. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 19:34, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I added a ref to alleviate the notability concern. It is a style indeed. One would know it if one is an expert in Traditional Iranian architecture. There are quite a many references in the original language, but not in English, as the style remains relatively un-studied in the west.--Zereshk (talk) 02:14, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
