Talk:Recorder of deeds

Georgia adopted a Land Registration Act based on the Torrens system in the 1920s. The Act is still on the books but it's never been used to any significant degreee - insuring a title in Georgia is still done in the customary way: by issuing a commitment based on attorney's opinion and abstract of title. "The South African system of deeds registry is hailed by many as one of the best systems of title registration in the world." This sentence so desperately needs a reference. Many private persons would counter this statement, so it would be in everyone's interest if this could be referenced. Kmasters0 (talk) 16:36, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
