Draft of new lead section: Red Doors is a 2005 American film written and directed by Georgia Lee. The independent film, inspired by the directors family, features a Chinese American family.Red Doors was Lee’s first feature film. Early drafts won the Jerome Foundation New York Media Arts Grant Award, and later wan the best narrative feature prize at the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival. The film was produced independently by Georgia Lee because Hollywood producers wanted to make the Wongs a Caucasian family for commercial purposes

Plans for the Article: Although the article appears to have some information, it is mostly a summary of the movie's plot. As a result, I'd like to make sure the links cited in the article are working and correct. I've also noticed that some of the information has been directly copied and pasted to the article from other articles and interviews. I'd like to go in and edit the material to meet the guidelines of the cite. Additionally, I would like to add reviews of the film, more of the awards the film has won, reception the film has had, and information on Georgia Lee, the writer and director of Red Doors. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Halekat3 (talk • contribs)
