This article needs a rewrite based on the German WP. For instance, this article says that RLB was a small and unimportant organization. This article is a perpetrated falsehood

"The group's first function was to serve as Air Defense Crews during a period when Germany was forbidden an Air Force by the Treaty of Versailles." "In 1935, the Reichluftschutzbund was placed under the authority of the Luftwaffe and performed mainly non-combat support roles such as ground crew training and search and rescue." WRONG: Its first function was to train every householder in the basics of air raid protection.

"The group remained relatively small and, as a paramiliary organization, was overshadowed heavily by the National Socialist Flyers Corps." WRONG: In 1939 the RLB had 13.5 million organized members.

"During World War II, the Reichluftschutzbund performed in air defense support manning anti-aircraft emplacements in Germany's major cities."WRONG: That was the job of: "Flakwehrmänner" and "Flakhelfer".
