Slight contradiction

[edit]

If you type "Rhinoceros" into the "Search Wikipedia" box and look down the list, you will see an entry for "Rhinoceros (band)" which says "Canadian rock band". If you click on that, you are taken to a page whose first sentence begins "Rhinoceros was an American rock band established in 1967". There doesn't seem to be anything in the article indicating any Canadian origin or identity. (At the end of the article, a section states that some of the members of Rhinoceros, after it broke up, formed a group called "Blackstone", which recorded one album for a Canadian label and then disbanded.)

It sure seems to me that the link to the article should say "American rock band", not "Canadian rock band"—simply on the basis of the article itself. I might have changed it, if I knew how, writing a rather different posting here in that case. I'm really out of my area of knowledge, though, so probably someone better qualified should take care of this, one way or another. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.191.245.184 (talk) 23:21, 9 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sarah Davidson wrote a long article about the band. The article was, I believe, "Rock Style" and was published in 1969 or 1970 in Harpers. Kdammers (talk) 18:29, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
