Nuff respect

[edit]

This boy is gonna be big, man. Listen to Brand New, or These Days, or All Girls Cheat... they're all dope as heck, the humor, the charisma, that dumb smile, this kid's the shiznit!... Watch him perform "Bullet" at that AOL Sessions link and tell me that that is not Best Song at the Grammy's next year... I hate to say it, I think he might even be better than Kanye! Kid is going to BLOW. UP... mark my words.

I AGREE!!! Depending on how well he's marketed, this boy has the potential to be HUGE!

You should add film maker Konee Rok

[edit]

He ties in strongly to Rhymefest' career and has directed many of the videos you feature here for him www.KoneeRok.com

There's no beef between Eminem and Rhymefest!!!

Deleted this

[edit]

becuase it is not true and sounds bad: "Che (Rhymefest) has notable beef with fellow rappers, The Game, Eminem, Krayzie Bone and a young up-and-coming artist Matt Wellens, whose minimal talents have been deftly masked by the skills of Rhymefest."

the conservative party is not right wing dude, its right but not 'far right' which implies other things

Jackson mix tape album

Added a paragraph about this extraordinary project! RMM77 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 00:42, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect Attribution: MC Juice

[edit]

Removed " In 1997, he famously beat rapper Eminem in a freestyle battle at the Scribble Jam, the largest American hip-hop festival. "

That was actually MC Juice, another Chicagoland MC: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MC_Juice http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYGep0zPMbA —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.215.75.64 (talk) 03:04, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Groove Armada

[edit]

Rhymefest raps on the song The Girls Say on Groove Armada's 2007 album Soundboy Rock. I figure this should be mentionned somewhere; he's got a pretty dope rap in that song. -M.Nelson (talk) 21:36, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mario?

[edit]

Who is that Mario who is featured on "All Girls Cheat"? Maikel (talk) 12:23, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Academy Award?

[edit]

"Glory" from the film Selma won the Best Song Academy award. But there's nothing about Che Smith / Rhymefest as its writer or one of the Oscar-recipients at the official Academy Awards site (http://awardsdatabase.oscars.org/), nor is there anything about him at the "Glory" page at AllMusic (https://www.allmusic.com/album/glory-mw0002819620). We need to reliably cite any Academy Awards claims, so I've commented-out those mentions for now. --Tenebrae (talk) 23:00, 27 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This AllMusic page, https://www.allmusic.com/composition/glory-song-mc0002765846, lists "Glory" as written by Genre L. Rashid Lynn [Common] / Che Smith / John Stephens.
The Grammy Award database, at https://www.grammy.com/grammys/artists/che-smith, lists Che Smith as having one Grammy and an additional nomination for "Glory":
  • 58TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS (2015)
  • Wins
  • BEST SONG WRITTEN FOR VISUAL MEDIA
  • Glory
  • Nominations
  • BEST RAP SONG
  • Glory
So it's unclear why he's not listed at the Academy Award database under either name. --Tenebrae (talk) 23:14, 27 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
