Did You Know

[edit]

... that Ride the Lobster is an 800-kilometer long unicycle race around Nova Scotia?

Name

[edit]

Why is it called Ride the Lobster? Is a lobster a slang name for a unicyle? 86.138.46.163 (talk) 16:11, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Edward Wedler gave the race its unusual name because he thought the roadways around Nova Scotia resembled a lobster. Additionally Nova Scotia is known for its yummy lobsters.Clerks. (talk) 14:48, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Will it happen again?

[edit]

I can only find evidence that the event took place in 2008. I'm certain it didn't happen again in 2009 or 2010. I'm wondering if the organizers can do it in 2011 or will wait until 2012 (like the Olympics). Or maybe never again? If anybody knows, it would help shape this article into either one to cover a one-time evenet or a reoccuring event. Clerks. (talk) 13:11, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
