Arms
[edit]Does anyone have the blazon, or (better yet) an image of Brackenbury's arms? Avalon 07:02, 6 September 2007 (UTC) I am a Brackenbury and haveArms if you'd like a copy....please email jmacbrack@hotmail.com A little searching suggests the following possible sources: Shakespeare's Heraldry, By Charles Wilfred Scott-Giles, p. 183, ISBN 0900455128 and Basic Heraldry, By Stephen Friar, John Ferguson, p. 77, ISBN 0393034631
You can look at the latter in google books. Loren Rosen 04:48, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Conduct at Bosworth
[edit]There's a section at the end discussing Brackenbury's conduct at Bosworth that should be better integrated into the rest of the article. It needs citations, but actually, since it argues completely from primary sources it smacks of being 'original research'. It would be better to simply cite and summarize secondary sources that discuss the matter. Loren Rosen 04:48, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Other than Shakespeare, and the histories of Hall, Holinshed, and Vergil(the latter of whom was a Tudor propagandist), what are some secondary sources describing Brackenbury's conduct at Bosworth?
The Princes in the Tower
[edit]It's the murder of the princes that is not proven. But Brackenbury is known to have given the keys to Richard's envoy. Valetude (talk) 19:53, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
- Other than Thomas More, an unreliable narrator in this case, what sources prove Brackenbury gave the keys to Richard III's envoy? Tx much. 2600:6C5D:17E:D0E8:480F:650D:A72B:D468 (talk) 16:20, 12 September 2023 (UTC)History Lunatic
