Initial comments

[edit]

Sorry for the delay in getting to this point in the review.

I've now read through this article and I regard it as being mostly GA-compliant.

The Failure and death section has a sentence, i.e. "He was sent to London on 16 November, and interrogated again in the Tower of London.[citation needed]" which has an obvious citation needed flag. Interestingly, the first few sentences in that first paragraph all have citations. They are followed by "During his interrogation he revealed that he had been travelling to see Rookwood's family, having heard that the young lord had been captured.", which I presume means interrogation at Warwickshire but it could have been The Tower. So, that also needs clarification.

In order to gain GA, I'm asking for clarification (if known), via a citation, of where the first interrogation took place; and a citation for the second interrogation.

I tend to read the WP:Lead last when I do these reviews. From Gunpowder Plot it is clear (via a citation) that "His" (i.e. Keyes) "role was to guard the gunpowder and other items stored at Catesby's house in Lambeth". However, in the lead "his" is more ambiguous, i.e. "He was trusted by Robert Catesby, the plot's author, with guarding the explosives stored at his lodgings in London." I initially read "his" as referring to Keyes, but "his" appears to be referring to "Catesby". I suggest that "his" is replaced by "the latter's", but there may be a better way of clarifying this. I have no strong preference to how it is clarified, but it should be clarified.

Thanks, it was done in a bit of a rush. I'll take a look in a bit and sort what needs doing. Parrot of Doom 20:52, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok I've made a few changes which I hope should clarify the issues you've raised. Keyes was undoubtedly interrogated in the Tower, but as a relatively unimportant member of the plot none of the modern writers bother with him much, and I'm therefore unable to expand on when exactly he was interrogated. I've therefore removed the part that needed citing. Parrot of Doom 21:19, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
