Notability
[edit]I've removed the notability tag from this article for the following reasons. He is a notable astronomer, frequently named both in scientific journals and non scientific press. The project he leads has made two VERY notable discoveries in the cases of SN 2005ap and SN 2006gy, the 2 most powerful supernova events yet recorded, and very possibly both very new types of event. The number of such pages that may in future point to his bio is only likely ot increase.
BLP tag
[edit]Extended tag added on top of Talk page, as per WP:BLP. Happy editing, all! :-) --Shirt58 (talk) 11:19, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
