I think this merits an afd

I believe this page merits a full afd, as the subject would appear to pass the Wikipedia:Notability (academics) criteria of being well known, important, and honoured in their field. (Whether UFOlogy is an academic field may be contestable, but I digress.) He also appears to pass Wikipedia:Notability (people) in general by having non-trivial mentions by real newspapers such as The Cincinnati Post [1]. As such, I formally contest this prod, believing it to be unmerited on this page, and claiming instead that he must at least go through afd. --tjstrf 00:55, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
