I cleaned up some of the unnecessary capitalization. It was starting to read like Winnie the Pooh. 71.63.15.156 (talk) 22:00, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
71.63.15.156 - I am 2 steps from being completely lost. You edited this article for unnessary capitalization (although, I don't know about the "Winnie the Pooh" part?????) but when I clicked on your Talk page, I am not clear on how your edit of this article is associated with "Special Contribuitons". I am new, so forgive me if the use or association is an obvious one.--irshgrl500 04:07, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
Smith Jones' Edits
[edit]On March 20, User Smith Jones made edits to the main article, of which one he/she marked as "vandalism". Some of the edits which were made to the original article, were marked as “vandalism” by the user, and other edits were performed with the explanation "repairs" or without any explanation, at all. The user also changed the date of birth of the subject of the article, without an explanation, and the crime the was charged, citing a case which not only was not a source reference for the crime but appeared to lead to confusing conclusions. I am concerned about the edits made by this User because the type of edits appear to not have been warranted, and another editor has tagged the User's page with the message that this user's account maybe a Sock Puppet for another "banned" user. --irshgrl500 20:32, 16 May 2009 (UTC) I am sorry, I honestly thought I signed on this page. --irshgrl500 20:00, 20 May 2009 (UTC)irshgrl500 --irshgrl500 (talk) 22:46, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Revisions made on May 12, 2009
[edit]On May 12, I edited the crimes charged to convicted/ edited the crime of "murder and conspiracy" (Smith Jones' edit) back to the original wording of the article-First degree murder with special circumstances. Explanation for the special circumstances was added, all with references to external articles and the California Penal Code. I edited the story - summary and Crime. I added how Alfaro entered the home, and information about how the murder took place, was added. Emphasis on this information was needed, as it is key to elements of the crimes for which Alfaro was convicted. I also added information about the crime scene due to Alfaro's defence in stating the crime was actually committed by an unidentified man, she refused to name. I also edited information about the sentencing portion-the second phase of the trial-the sentencing phase was declared a mistrial because the jury could not agree on the sentence, unanimously. The sentencing phase (only) was then re-litigated before a NEW jury, and the new/second jury returned a recommendation of the Death Sentence. The Guilt phase of the trial was never declared a mistrial, therefore, re-litigated. --irshgrl500 20:52, 16 May 2009 (UTC) Irshgrl500 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Irshgrl500 (talk • contribs)
