Birth/Death
He died before he was born?
Untitled
I was just in Maine and Vallee's compound on Lake Kezar in Lovell, ME is still there and is now a Summer camp. It was the footstone, with his initials on it that was taken, not the headstone.
Oh Dear
This article ranks among the worst I've seen on Wikipedia, but it was pretty funny to read. I especially enjoy the fact that Jane Greer is objectively sexy, and merits a link to the page on sexual attraction. 75.49.251.170 (talk) 11:19, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Deep Night
Does anyone have the lyrics to "Deep Night?" it was the erie sounding theme to the 1967 movie "Bonnie and CLyde". The Lyrics to Rudy Valle's song Deep Night (1929)are as follows: Shadows are falling and nighttime is calling, This is the time for love. Day has just ended, the moon has descended, Lighting the sky above. Day seemed so long dear, waiting for you. Moments seemed years to me. Nighttime has brought you, daylight has lost you. Would it could always be. (Chorus) Deep night, stars in the sky above, moonlight, lighting our place of love. Night winds seem to have gone to rest Two eyes brightly with love are gleaming. Come to my arms my darling, my sweetheart, my own. Vow that you'll love me always and me mine alone. Deep night whispering trees above. Kind night, bringing you nearer, dearer, and dearer, Deep night, deep in the arms of love, love. Now you are near me, love, and endear me, drive all my cares away. Tell me you want me, just as you haunt me, all through the dreary day. When you are gone, dear, life seems in vain, for your are life to me, Oh, how I miss you, longing to kiss you, would it could always be, (Repeat Chorus) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.61.221.219 (talk) 22:46, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
There is a very nice early biography page on Rudy Vallee at the following url: http://www.oldandsold.com/articles10/times-square-tinetypes-50.shtml It is from 1930. Provides a nice early overview of where Rudy Vallee came from.
How do you pronounce his last name? Is it "valet" as in the driver, or "valley" as in the lowest point between two peaks? Answer: His name is pronounced "Valee" as in the lowest point between two peaks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.61.221.219 (talk) 04:47, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Rudy himself has the answer. In one of his recordings he sings "Why she thinks Rudy Vallee is a place between two hills".
- Yep, VALee, homonym of valley. Gwen Gale 00:03, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Willie Howard, not the football player.
The link for Willie Howard directs you to a page about a football player born in the 1970's. I very much doubt Rudy Vallée was ever likely or able to imitate his voice. Somebody, please change it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.210.46.148 (talk) 11:51, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
