Russell Brand mentions getting sacked by MTV in interview

In an interview with MTV, which is kind of ironic, Russell Brand mentions getting sacked by MTV and makes a pretty joke of it. I thought it was worth including a link to the interview in the article because the interview in general is funny. http://www.mtv.com.au/videos/russell-brand-interview-part-one-356347/?playlist=darren-meets-russell-brand SenatorFilth (talk) 04:51, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

G20 protests

Some of the media reported that Brand was at the 2009 G-20 London summit protests. Was he there? If so, did he take part in the protests? Nietzsche 2 (talk) 07:25, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

According to this report from Sky and Richard Littlejohn writing in the Mail he was there, though Littlejohn is quite cynical about the reasons for his appearance. Paul Largo (talk) 11:39, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Heterosexual

{{editsemiprotected}} Russell Brand is not "openly gay" as stated above. He is straight. See http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2006/jun/18/broadcasting.arts

Spam

Many of the films mentioned are in the future and references to them are just spamming. Spam is banned in Wikipedia and so is using a crystal ball. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.137.170.8 (talk) 09:40, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

I don't get it

This sentence doesn't make sense to me: "He left school and home at 16, at which time his mother had lymphoma and he did not get on with her live-in partner." Specifically, "get on." What does this mean? Should we change it?--66.255.24.130 (talk) 18:46, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

I am guessing you are American - here we would say he didn't get along with his mother's partner. "Get on" is a British phrase. Might be good to have a less coloquial expression. 76.235.57.96 (talk) 04:34, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
Any idea what would be better wording? It is relevant to his bio as it was a factor in him leaving home at 16. We could say that Brand and his mother's partner disliked each other, but I don't know if they simply disliked each other or if there was more to it than that.
