Would it be Amafaranga Rwanda or Rwanda Amafaranga? Or a variation of either? Enlil Ninlil 04:34, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps you can ask the question there. --ChoChoPK (球球PK) (talk | contrib) 14:19, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The unit is Ifaranga. Amafaranga is the plural form. In kinyarwanda, you would say ifaranga yu’Rwanda or amafaranga yu’Rwanda. Ptilinopus (talk) 01:10, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There is a problem with the article that has strangely been missed. The list of banknotes at the bottom is correct: there are currently in use 500, 1000, 2000, and 5000 franc notes. However, the notes illustrated at the top right of the article do not show the current notes but the older ones. In particular, the 2000-franc note is missing, the 500-franc note is the old one (not the new one described below), and the now-withdrawn 100 franc note is still pictured.
