Will begin after lunch. Courcelles (talk) 16:10, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • It's a stupid rule, but we do need a direct citation after quotes, such as "The historians Hans Hildebrand, Albert Röhr, and Hans-Otto Steinmetz stated that "why no one objected to the building of this ship cannot be determined from the record.""
    • Added
  • What is Nixe named after?
    • The Nixe water spirits - added to the article
  • Any information on how bad the typhoid infection hit her crew?
    • No, unfortunately - that's all Hildebrand et al say, and nothing turns up in a search of old periodicals on Google Books (GB seems convinced I meant "nice" instead of "Nixe"!)
  • "Nixe reached Kiel on 1 April 1899 and went into the shipyard in Kiel for another overhaul." We could likely avoid using Kiel twice in a sentence.
    • Good idea
  • Images check out.
  • SHould this be in Category:Corvettes of the Imperial German Navy rather than Category:Cruisers of the Imperial German Navy?
    • Yeah, good catch.

Not finding much, good read on a ship they obviousily should never have built! Courcelles (talk) 17:55, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I do like including quotes like that - they add a little flavor. This was my previous favorite. Parsecboy (talk) 10:42, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
