Far left organisation?

[edit]

Whats the references or arguments for that? SOS Rasisme is an organisation exclusively working against rascism and nothing else. Whats so far left with that? I suggest that this "fact" is removed from the article --Osvald (talk) 20:21, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"extensive connections to the marxist-leninist movement in Norway"??

[edit]

What kind of fact is this? There are some members who are memebers of Tjen folket (serve the people), a maoist organisation, but is this enough to make this statment correct? I don't think so. --Osvald (talk) 20:23, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"real estate speculation"??

[edit]

"It was uncovered that SOS Rasisme had channeled several million NOK into a real estate speculation company called Aktivisteiendom AS". This is not right. The organization has bought som offices witch it uses itself. This is not the same as "speculation". The reference for this "fact" is a little right wing blogg called "document.no". It's not an reliable source. --Osvald (talk) 20:44, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The sources provided in the article clearly document the extent of cooperation between SOS Rasisme and the Marxist-Leninist organisation Tjen Folket. You write that "some members are members of Tjen Folket" as if this only concerns a few random people. The sources, however, show that large parts of the executive boards of SOS Rasisme and Tjen Folket overlap, including top positions such as leader (of Tjen Folket) and accountant (of SOS Rasisme). This is clearly not an isolated incident. Also, your claims that the sources are "right wing blogs" is clearly wrong. Several of the sources are from national Norwegian newspaper, including Klassekampen (The Class Struggle), which is about as far away from right wing as you can get.

Also, your claim that the funds scandal is caused by "Nazis spreading stories" is a single press release from SOS Rasisme itself. No other reliable sources corroborate this claim. Wikipedia requires sources to be independent from the subject of the article, so this press release does not pass muster as a reliable source. Theis101 (talk) 11:54, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes there are some few members which is known to be member of SOS Rasisme. But in the leadership it's only Henrik Ormåsen (deputy member of the CC), and Kenneth Fuglemsmo (member of National Board). If you know of any others, then you will have to have sources for this, and still: Even if all representatives of SOS Rasisme is a member of Tjen folket, you still can't say they have a "cooperation". That people also are member of other organizations doesn't mean that the organization has a "cooperation" with those organizations.
I have not claimed that the funds scandal is caused by "Nazis spreading stories". I wrote: The reference for this "fact" is a little right wing blogg called "document.no". It's not an reliable source. --Osvald (talk) 11:24, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

About sources

[edit]

Klassekampen (The Class Struggle) is a norwegian newspaper which was started by the norwegian maoist communist party AKP(m-l) (Workers Communist Party). Today it's a free paper self claimed newspaper for the "left-side". It has a long record of conflict with SOS Rasisme. In 2007 it gave well known nazis the opportunity to present them selves and they're organizations. This led to hard protests for SOS Rasisme, and even demonstrations against the newspaper. The newspaper has after that had numerous attacks on the organization. It should therefor not be recognized as an objective source of information of the organization. Recently Ole Jørgen Anfindsen, one of the most active writers in the newspaper has got attention arguing for aid to developing countries should be given according to the IQ of human races. document.no is a rightwing blog, also an source witch uses much energy on attacking anti racist organizations. --Osvald (talk) 11:56, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
