2 types of pracaxi - wrong analysis

[edit]

I just found out that the analysis cited concerns "pracaxi", but a different plant than from "sacha inchi oil". In the reference the plant specified is 'Pentaclethara macroloba', while sacha inchi oil is from Plukenetia volubilis.

Plukenetia volubilis is very different and very high in LNA (alpha-Linolenic acid) and Tocols. Proper analysis here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22053706 (Chemical characterization of Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L.) oil.) I'll change it. --Ingosp (talk) 07:45, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
