Sadat e amroha can never be Merged to Amroha ,a Town of U.P Because it is not Sadats Property.Shabiha 07:16, 9 May 2007 (UTC)Shabiha[reply]

Actually I think Shabiha doesn't know that AMROHA what she calls as a city in UP is founded by SADAATS (Syed Sharfudiin Shah Wilayat) and majority of Amroha still belongs to Sadaats of Amroha. Amroha was given its name and fame by its sadaats. Syed Hasan Mubarak Naqvi (Proud to be Amrohvi)

Please remember that the encyclopedia is here to provide information to everyone. That includes people who have never been to India and don't know what a sadaat is. Wikipedia also has a Neutral Point of View. I will go ahead and make the merge because no-one has given a reason against it. Shabiha's post is not a reason not to merge because the merger would not imply that Amroha is "Sadat's property". Itsmejudith 06:40, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I ALSO AGREE WITH HASAN SAHAB THAT '''AMROHA WAS SET UP BY THE SADATS AND THUS IT BELONGS TO SAADATE AMROHA''' -'SYED' SHAARIF AKHTAR AMROHI

Notable people

[edit]

There are red links for many of the notable people mentioned. I'm sure many of them merit a Wikipedia entry. Perhaps they don't have one and should be added, or perhaps they do but under another name or transliteration, so the link doesn't work. If anyone can help out with this, it would seem to be the most important thing for the article at present. Itsmejudith 08:27, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This includes Shah Wilayat himself. There seems to be no article on him. Itsmejudith 07:23, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Amroha and Umri Kalan

[edit]

Can any one tell me is there any relation/connection between peer (dada Buddha Shah) lies at Umri Kalan a village 20 kms far away from Amroha and Shah Wilayat saheb? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Suhaib ahmad (talkcontribs) 07:07, August 22, 2007 (UTC).

Demographics typo?

[edit]

The demographics section states, "As per the 2011 census, Amroha had a population of 198,471." Then later, when speaking to the literacy rate it states, "The total number of literates in Amroha was 198,471, which constituted 53.5% of the population..." Which is it? Is the population 198,471 and the literacy rate is 100%? Or is 198,471 the number of literate people which is 53.5% of the population?
