Abbey on the Prime?[edit]

When I visited the Abbey in 1992, I remember being shown that it resides on the Greenwich Prime Meridian. There was a hole in the window high on the south wall, and light would shine along a line grooved into the stone floor criss-crossing the interior of the building. I imagine it would only work on one hour of one day of the year, possibly a solstice. Could anybody confirm this and update the article if true? I checked the Lat/Long in Google Maps and looking in satellite view, it gives coords of 49.019972,-0.032836. I changed the Longitude to 0.000000 which puts the meridian about a mile to the east in a field. TimothyPilgrim (talk) 15:13, 18 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
