Tunnel claims
[edit]Tunnel claims are unsourced, and were likely added by local conspiracy theorist with a history of making spurious claims. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.60.122.141 (talk) 23:30, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
I went ahead and removed this, all of which is spurious at best:
to hide the digging of a series of tunnels around it by comingling the dirt from the subterranean passageways with the dirt from the hills in the park to fill in the marsh, the five ponds, and the river to the cove. Many of the brick homes around the Common and the district were built to hide the purchase of brick needed to build the tunnels. The tunnels would connect through the fireplace arches in these homes in the basement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.60.122.141 (talk) 23:32, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
Took some time this morning to delete numerous suprious claims about secret tunnels, and conspiracy theories about famous historical figures. ALL of this is unsourced, original research (though calling it "research" is generous; calling it "speculation" is closer, but still generous), and seems to be the work of one contributor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:18D:581:1030:6494:CA11:5FC4:D2E2 (talk) 12:59, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
