What about the news on the $5 millions lawsuit from the mother?

Details are available from Maryland's Judiciary Search website. Due to its formatting, directly linking is impossible, so I will provide information here in plain text.

The case was filed 04/15/2008. The suit is against the officer himself, not the department, though he is represented by a department lawyer.
Motion to dismiss was denied on 01/09/2009.
The trial is to take place on 09/15/2009 at 9:30am. As usual, this is subject to change.
