YP-K3 Info

[edit]

When accessing the "the upcoming YP-K3 digital audio player from Samsung" link, it brings me to this "Yepp" page where the K3 isn't mentioned at all. If there's no information on the K3 in Wiki, then I think the "the upcoming YP-K3 digital audio player from Samsung" link should be eliminated.

Somebody clean this mess up, Please!

[edit]

The article is full of gramatical errors, informal language, biased opinions and personal experiences. I say we rewrite the whole thing from scratch. Besides, the article should be describing also about the brand's history and its economical values etc., not a list of completely outdated (for example, I think YP-T6 is from 2004,) MP3 Players that doesn't give the readers any idea of what it's about.

how can the players be catagorized?69.123.69.24 01:23, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Samsung Website

[edit]

It's best to refer to the website. Otherwise, I think Samsung MP3 player owners can express their experiences using these devices here in wiki to increase information and options for those who are still undecided about which model to purchase, etc...

Updated YP-P2 showing new Bluetooth features are available via 2.08 firmware. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Killamenjaro (talkcontribs) 20:03, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What needs improvement

[edit]

Ok, I've done my best to clean up this article a little bit. I have the old YP-T8, but my information on the newer ones is a bit sketchy. I still think the article needs a major overhaul or re-write, but short of that, here is a list of things that I think need to be added:

  • In the current model comparisons table, there should be pictures of the YP-U3 and the YP-S5.
  • Information about the YP-S% should be added under it's entry in "Current Model Comparison"
  • More information about the YP-T10 should be added, it looks a little sparse compared the the other player descriptions.
  • I changed "flash games" to "games" under the description of the T9. It doesn't have a Flash player as far as I know. Could someone confirm one way or the other? Also, if it does, are third party games supported? Is the statement that it uses flash for animations later in the description correct?
T9 has flash player. But it only uses to run some built-in apps. Third party games does not supported. shinsuk (talk) 06:28, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Information about the YP-U3 needs to be added.

Overall it really just needs a full rewrite if someone with more experiance has the time Blackviper91 (talk) 02:00, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If I do have time, I'd uncover Samsung's site and... wo, shizz.... apparently, that company have released a whole truckload of models... like the BR-1640... In my honest opinion, I believe Samsung's refusal to give subtle product names (like the simple iPod nano, instead of the YP-T10JAUY...) to their players has frustrated, or perhaps discourage potential contributors from cleanups and rewrites. I do not condone the Current Model Comparison thingy; I recommend more articles created to decrease the length; and all other players listed in Samsung's site (the firmware section) should just be listed. --Jw21/PenaltyKillahBDAY! 02:58, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The model YP-20T and it's series seem to be missing, too. YP-20T and CNET review of YP-20T for reference. Cymor 04:03, 26 July 2013
