[edit]

Strawberry Brook is a tributary to the Saugus River. Strawberry Brook has been placed entirely underground. It flows from Flax Pond at Chestnut Street and roughly follows Boston Street Lynn. At Barry Park the brook turns toward the Saugus river. It flows under Barry Park and the GE Athletic Field where is was also known as the Little River before the field was built on top of it.

Strawberry Brook/Little River empties into the Saugus river just downstream of Summer Street Lynn. Many maps still call this inlet on the Saugus River the "Little River"

I have not yet entered this info on the main page because I am not sure if tributaries that are now largely underground should be included.

There is at least one more tributary in Lynn (Birch Brook) that is largely underground at this point in history.Capt3 (talk) 04:44, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"The most famous story of the Saugus River is about a little boy." Uhm... what the hell is this here for? Remove it or elaborate??? 66.31.9.250 (talk) 23:30, 10 August 2009 (UTC) Removed that. I had been waiting for someone to elaborate on it. I guess nobody knows that story. I have never heard it.Capt3 (talk) 05:17, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
