Probably bullshit and just as valid than when it said Saw IV's plot consisted of Jeff playing games to free Corbett.--CyberGhostface (talk) 15:12, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Yes, because any member of IMDb, just like on Wikipedia, can add the plot details to IMDb, therefore, it has no credibility. --Victor (talk) 21:34, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Notice how Agent Strahm's name, along with "warehouse", is misspelled? Of course it's fake... especially with that tagline. Jack Of Hearts | Miss A Turn 04:18, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

A video has recently surfaced on YouTube from a user claiming to have the first 4 pages of the saw 5 script. I'm not in to movie scripts, so I can't tell if it's real or not, but the link to the video is http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=a-wRm9tKgwE&feature=related along with links to the pages in the description. Maybe someone can comfirm or debunk this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Samyueru (talkcontribs) 14:15, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

I think the name probably is 'Straum'. That's what it says on the Saw 4 and 5 fact sheets on Lionsgate Publicity.

 ViperBlade Talk!! 09:53, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, the IMDb thing is fake. As for the supposed five pages of the script, i'm not positive, but I think lionsgate denied it so I wouldn't take it seriously. GroundZ3R0 002 (talk) 07:16, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

As 'Squishy Vic' said, I already sourced that (though i didn't know how to add it with is referenced by IMDb, and I'm fairly certain the Wikipedia has established many times over that IMDb is not a reliable source. I will try to find the article I mentioned that I had read about them pitching the three, but I also believe that this should be taken out as a source. --HELLØ ŦHERE 08:52, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

I have taken care of the issue above. I found the interviews on the Saw IV page, but while I was looking through, I believe I noticed things that were in that article that were not in this article, once again, I could be mistaken, but this seems very odd to me. --HELLØ ŦHERE 09:00, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
I have tried to clean up the entire page a little. --HELLØ ŦHERE 09:07, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

The Jigsaw shaped piece of flesh?

It says that we will find out what that is about in the 5th film but didnt we find out in saw 2? He said that he took it because his subjects were "missing an important piece of the human puzzle, the survival instinct" or something to that effect. That seems a bit strange to me. --Will Decay (talk) 23:52, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

It will probably be expanded on more...like how Jigsaw started doing it.--CyberGhostface (talk) 02:05, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

V.

I put a "citation needed" template by the statement that says it's referred to as "V". It was removed stating that it's unprovable, yet on the new poster we have it's "Saw V", not just "V", I believe this is a source showing that it's not "V". Can someone help? --HELLØ ŦHERE 20:12, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

It's refered to as V on the teaser poster and the Offical Website

no there 's 2 hoses through the top of the box Nico92400 (talk) 08:18, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Ah. Well they still show rats in the trailer, lol. Now that I took a look at it, his box seems to be filling with water later on in the trailer. SonicNiGHT (talk) 08:20, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Wedding Ring

Strahm is wearing one in the new poster

did anyone know he was married? —Preceding unsigned comment added by IceT13TSOSIM (talkcontribs) 19:18, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

No, but he is also wearing one in Saw IV, but his wife's identity is unknown. GroundZ3R0 002 (talk) 02:04, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Strahms Trap

Just to clear things up:

 • Yes, Strahm is wearing a wedding ring (he also did in IV), though his wife's identity is unknown and it's unsure if we'll ever hear about her.
 • While the poster makes it unclear and the page says it's confirmed, there is nothing to say the trap fills with water (although it'd make a lot of sense/suspense) or has rats in it. The reference that was given says nothing about either. The teaser trailer shows a clear view of the box and there is no rats or water. This could change though.
 • Yes, there are tubes on each side of Strahm. Whether these deposit poison, control air, or other functions is unconfirmed.
 • Judging from the trailer, the box on his head can be moved around (this may help in his trap or something).
 • The trap takes place in an erntirely new place, not the bathroom or anywhere else familiar.

Glad to help, GroundZ3R0 002 (talk) 02:15, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Opening sequence description

editsemiprotected Please change the opening sequence description from this:

At the 2008 Comic-con, along with the teaser trailer, a clip of the film's opening sequence was shown. However, unlike the teaser, the clip did not appear online for the time being. However, on September 17, 2008, the clip was finally revealed via website. The opening sequence introduces a new character named Seth, who was serving a life sentence for murdering people but got off after five years due to a "technicality". He is placed in a pendulum trap that begins swinging at 30 seconds, and at the end of 60 seconds will cut him in half. In order to stop the device, Seth has to put his hands in two devices and push the buttons before him, which will "render of the tools that kills: your hands". Seth partly accomplishes this task. It destroys his hands, but the pendulum keeps going. The clock is on the 50 second hand as the clip ends and the title card is revealed, his fate was left unknown.[21]

to this:

A clip of the opening sequence was shown at Comic-Con 2008 and added to the film's official website on September 17, 2008. A man named Seth awakens to find himself chained to a table, looking up at a razor-edged pendulum on the ceiling. A videotaped messge from Billy reveals that Seth had been sentenced to life in prison for murder, but was released on a technicality after five years. The pendulum descends toward him as it begins to swing; after 30 seconds it will be close enough to touch his skin, and after 60 seconds it will cut him in half. Seth is told that in order to save himself, he must "destroy the tools that have killed — your hands" by inserting them into two presses and pushing the starter buttons inside. He does so, the presses crushing his hands, but the pendulum continues its descent. The clip ends at the 50-second mark when the title card comes up; Seth's fate is left unrevealed at this time.[21]

Section.

I've noticed some of the information that was deleted doesn't necessarily fit where it was, but should we possibly create a "build-up" or "anticipation" section, which details the fact that the clip was released at Comic-Con, the website opening, etc. I think some may find it interesting and it does detail the anticipation/build-up of the movie. I hope I've made myself clear in what I'm trying to possibly create. --HELLØ ŦHERE 23:31, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

hoffmans test

a new clip for saw 5 has been released,(in a flash back) shows that hoffman wanted seth to die. hoffman says that seth didnt deserve a chance. jigsaw tells him that everybody has a chance and forces a device onto hoffmans finger which looks like hoffman has to cut his own finger off. this means that seths trap happens before saw3/4 or maybe even 1 and 2. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Centuryrock667 (talkcontribs) 22:55, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Wrong Plot Details

This is a minor error but "The recording warns him he can find salvation or die in the room, and urges him to make the right choice." is an INCORRECT summary detail...The recording actually warns him to either go into an unknown fate or stay in the room and live but he refuses to stay in the room with the deceased Jigsaw and then faces turmoil... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Catlady04 (talkcontribs) 03:04, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Wrong Plot Details

When Hoffman is put into the box, it is full of ice cubes (i don't remember ever seeing shards of glass in the shape of an ice cube.) Also when he breathes on it, you can see his breath and it says there, unlike if its warm inside of the box, it would go away. Alesana1194 (talk) 03:38, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Change needed please

The text "He heads back to his office and finds a note for him saying "I know who you are." should be moved. It has this text after Detective Hoffman enters Strahm's room where he is grieving. This actually happened before he went to the hospital room. I just got home from seeing the movie and noticed it. It is really a minor change but think it should be made for accuracy.
