Is this different from syrup?[edit]

I don't know much about Italian food, but isn't this just the Italian word for syrup? Is there a reason to make it a separate entry? Yel D'ohan (talk) 00:33, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I could be wrong about this, but from the description here, it sounds like it's a specific concoction of diluted syrups. I think Slush puppies are basically just flavored syrups in ice water, but they are certainly distinct from the concept of "syrup" in general.
