Scout B
[edit]What about Scout B? No mention..? —Pengo talk · contribs 08:56, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Acronym/Backronym?
[edit]"Scout (an acronym for Solid Controlled Orbital Utility Test system)" That sounds more like a backronym to me. Anybody got any sources?--ospalh (talk) 17:09, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
Distances?
[edit]In the final section where they are talking about the Blue Scout, why a strange scientific notation or whatever for orbital distances, rather than the standard km/mi distances on all other rocket/satellite pages? Example:
16 600 miles
I have no idea what that even means, and no reference is given for the laypeople, such as myself.
-- Not sure how long ago you posted this. Sounds like these tests were sub-orbital meaning they didn't achieve an orbit, just went up and came back down. (I am basing this off how high they went and still carried a decent size payload to record stuff). Also the notation is probably just copied and pasted from the source. I see a lot of older papers and charts that think have a space instead of a comma for large numbers (1,000 vs 1 000). Makes it a little easier to see the magnitude of the number without using a comma. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SuperSonicFlow (talk • contribs) 06:59, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
