Jaguar touring car team into a Holden team in 1964.

[edit]

I don't think we can correctly say that the "Jaguar touring car team" was converted to a "Holden team" in 1964. McKay had not raced the Jaguar since 1960 and that would have been pre Scuderia Veloce. What's more SV ran Ron Clarke in a Morris Cooper S as well as Brian Muir in a Holden S4 in Appendix J Touring Car racing in 1964. GTHO (talk) 03:19, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Go for it. After this article not being started for years I had a ten minute break at lunch yesterday to get something started with the intent of cleaning up later. Add it in. --Falcadore (talk) 04:01, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Amended. Good to see that this page has been created at last as I have been dithering over this for a while myself. GTHO (talk) 23:26, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Holden Dealer Racing Team

[edit]

Do we have any evidence to suggest that the Holden Dealer Racing Team ran in anything other than the 1968 HF500? GTHO (talk) 23:30, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They didn't do the Sandown race as a warm-up? Almost certain I'd read that, going to have look it up... I should know better but as mentioned really needed to start this article. --Falcadore (talk) 01:39, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Racing Car News makes no mention of the HDRT in its Sandown report and Stewart Wilson's "Holden, The official racing history" tells us that "the world witnessed the first appearance of a 'Holden Dealer Team'" at Bathurst. I suggest we change it to the HF500 only until we find anything confirming that they ran elsewhere. GTHO (talk) 08:54, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
