Release year[edit]

Please do not add a year of release in the article without specific sources. Currently, there is no clear release date as reviews, ministerial papers, and promotional material make the actual release date information for this film unclear. We should not list anything we can not confirm. Andrzejbanas (talk) 15:49, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

We have specific sources as given in the text:

  • "Associazione Nazionale Industrie Cinematografiche Audiovisive e Multimedia (ANICA) dating the first public screening of the film to be April 16, 1972 while La Stampa wrote about a screening as early as 1971."

So a decade category is inapropriate, when he have exact dates. Early screenings are the case for many films, before their general release. Such as films debuting in the Cannes Film Festival, sometimes years before their general release. Dimadick (talk) 15:59, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm happy to remove the decade cat, which I feel is less misleading, but I would not put in years per the reason above as it's not clear when the film was released. Andrzejbanas (talk) 16:02, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Dimadick:, please do not re-add the years. You didn't say whether or not you were happy with the solution above so I have not moved forward with it. Adding several years is not the solution as it is not clear which one is right or if one is correct at all. We should not play guessing games with this. Placing individual years is very misleading.
