Fair use rationale for Image:Skammen.jpg

[edit]

Image:Skammen.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Synopsis is wrong in many details

[edit]

I just saw the movie and most of the details are wrong. I'm pretty sure Jacobi is a mayor. The couple do not help tend to the wounded of both sides (Eva tries to tend to one man but he is already dead). The town is not exactly panicking. "rounded up by the invading force" refers to the couple being filmed for propaganda purposes and then later questioned by the other side about this issue. Jacobi releases the couple before he sleeps with Eva - at the very least it isn't certain that him and Eva have an agreement "finally spared" is inaccurate. Jacobi associating with the couple is the problem - they are not constantly sequestered. Eva does not lead the couple to the sea - Jan goes to rendezvous with a fishing boat at the sea and Eva, after initially saying she wouldn't go, decides to follow. Jan pays the fare for the boat out of money Jacobi gave Eva. Jan got the information from a deserter, a boy, that he shot and stole from, it wasn't 'soldiers'.

There are many other inaccuracies. I won't list them all. But the article needs to be substantially rewritten. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.32.110.243 (talk) 05:43, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There are inaccuracies, and it does need to be rewritten. But Jacobi is a military officer with the rank **överste**, equivalent to a colonel or a lieutenant-colonel. 203.219.29.254 (talk) 02:23, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I've just watched it and Jacobi (Gunnar Bjornstrand) is first introduced as the Mayor on the ferry crossing to the mainland. Later he appears again, presumably having been drafted in the meantime, as the Colonel. Along with other inaccuracies this piece does appear to be written by someone who hasn't actually watched the film... Twizzlemas (talk) 12:52, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
